Minas TirithTheir reunion was joyous, and there they bound their hearts as one... On the day before Midsummer, a group of fair folk was seen riding to Minas Tirith. "At last they have come!" cried Aragorn, "Let all the City be made ready!" On Midsummer's Eve, the riders came down the North-way to Minas Tirith. Among them were Elrohir and Elladan, brothers of Arwen, Glorfindel and Erestor. Indeed, all the house of Rivendell had come! And behind them rode the lord and lady of Lothlórien leading their people. Last came Elrond, bearing the sceptre of Annúminas; beside him was his daughter, Arwen. The king welcomed his guests, and Elrond gave to Aragorn the sceptre and laid the Evenstar's hand in his. Then they returned to Minas Tirith, the City of Kings, and there, on Midsummer's Day, Aragorn and Arwen were wedded.. The above is based on Tolkien's writing, but was written by me. All quotes were directly copied to stay true to the story. |
