I wandered through a meadow fair
I wandered through a meadow fair
Through autumn trees of gold
I wondered 'bout the lady fair
Of stories I'd heard told
And as I thought,
And as I walked,
There stood the mentioned elven queen,
Mistress of Fairytale, embraced by the Twilight
Turned to consider me through the trees.
She smiled, with all the warmth of the sun;
And with all the aloofness of the stars.
She spoke, and I was come undone
That Venus should address Mars!
There's love that fills,
And love that kills,
And the sort with both the world remembers;
Like the Queen and I locked in Fairytale,
Until our Story ends, in embers.
